Help/Tour
The Home page contains a number of components. Users are able to take a tour of these components by clicking on the “question mark” icon in the top right corner, above the map. (See image below)
The Home page also includes a progress indicator of analytic jobs and uploads. Notifications that are user-defined appear next to the Progress icon, this is an indicator of new unviewed alerts.
The Menu Bar, which appears to the left of the Home page, contains different navigation components. Through the menu a user can navigate to the “Home” page, “Sources” page, and “Saved Searches” page.
- Home - Return to the Home Page.
- Sources - View existing and upload/add new videos and photos, "Watched Folders" and RTSP streams.
- Saved Searches - View all saved searches.

The Query Builder, located at the top of the Home page, allows users to build search queries. A user is able to build a query based on specific object types (e.g. licenseplate, vehicle) and/or date. Query options are dependent on the initial object type selected. The Query Builder can be accessed by clicking the “Magnifying glass” icon or by typing in the query.
Possible query options include:
- Type = Licenseplate
- Region = list of supported regions (*optional)
- String = user defined (*optional)
- Type = Vehicle
- Vehicle = truck, car, bus, motorbike (*optional)
- Make = list of supported vehicle makes (*optional)
- Model = list of specific models for specific make when given
- Color = list of supported colors (*optional)
Building Query Based on Time
- To include data parameters to the query click on the "All Times" button. Once clicked the following time settings can be queried.
- All Time - default option
- Last 60 Minutes
- Last 24 Hours
- Last 48 Hours
- Last 72 Hours
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
- Custom
- A user can select a specific time range by specifying a “Start Date” and “Start Time” with an “End Date” with the “End Time”. A user can manually enter the dates or use the calendar widget.
- Ex: Start Date = 01/02/2020, End Date = 01/13/2020

Sighthound ALPR includes a GPS map that pins sources to the map when a uploaded source includes GPS data. View image below.
The Home page includes a centralized view of recent alerts, license plates, and vehicles. As sources continue to be inserted to Sighthound ALPR these lists will update. The lists include metadata about objects recently detected. A user can click on a specific object and view the source.
