Legacy product and open-source update
Sighthound Video is a legacy product that is no longer under active development. It is available free of charge and community-supported. Sighthound does not provide regular bug fixes or feature updates for this product.
Existing purchased licenses do not expire. Source code and community discussion are available at https://github.com/sighthoundinc/SighthoundVideo. For critical issues, contact support through the Sighthound website; responses are provided on a best-effort basis.
Do purchased licenses expire?
No. Existing purchased Sighthound Video licenses are perpetual and do not expire.
What was the Support and Upgrades subscription?
Historically, Sighthound Video license purchases included a 12-month Support and Upgrades subscription. During an active subscription period, customers were eligible for supported major-version upgrades released during that period.
This is now legacy account context. Sighthound Video is no longer under active development, and Sighthound does not provide regular bug fixes, feature updates, or regular subscription-based upgrades for this product.
If you still see a Renew button
Existing license holders can ignore renewal prompts that may still appear in older account or application screens. Your original purchased license does not expire.
New purchases and upgrades
New license purchases and paid upgrades were available historically, but they have been removed from the website. This article should not be used to promise that new licenses or upgrades can still be purchased or issued.
Recovering or activating an existing license
If you need help recovering or activating an existing purchased license, sign in to your Sighthound account or contact support through the Sighthound website. Responses for Sighthound Video are provided on a best-effort basis.
